About the position
Our client in the consulting environment is looking for a registered Professional Electrical Engineer who has a minimum of 5 years' building services experience in the consulting sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Manage full design aspects for Electrical and Electronic Services across a range of building services projects.
- Analyzing project requirements in the context of various codes and standard and develop conceptual designs through to a set of construction information.
- Directing a small team to ensure compliant designs are delivered to agreed programs.
- Manage and coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces.
- Develop scripts and add-ins to automate repetitive design aspects and/or to check various design compliance aspects
- Representation at client and professional meetings and being able to present work and engage in technical conversations.
- Maintaining accountability for resourcing, timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance, scope management and keeping the client informed on project progress.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 Years building services experience,
- Min qualifications B Eng or B Tech Eng
- Registered with ECSA
- Good managerial skills, to manage and build a regional team consisting of technical, administrative, and financial members.
- Must have contactable references
- Good hands-on design skills, examples to be present
- Have drawn-up tender Bills of quantities,
- Capable to work on Auto CAD
- Schematic layouts of distribution boards and MCC'c,
- Good writing and communication skills,
- Have attended and kept minutes for site meetings, project meetings, office and technical meetings
- Energetic, ethical and well spoken, as to also attend to marketing and securing projects,
- Able to travel nationally
