Electrical & Electronic Technician

About the position

We are hiring!
Company based in Centurion is looking for a skilled Electrical & Electronic Technician to join their team!
Requirements and experience:

• Electrical and Instrumentation background knowledge is required.
• Red seal.
• A Minimum off NQF level 4 (Electrical and Instrumentation qualification, with a minimum of two – three years technical experience in related field.
• Computer Literate.
• Software and PLC programming experience on either Allan Bradley / Siemens or Schneider PLC
• Must be fluent in English.
• No criminal offence records.
• Code 08 Driver’s License.
• Knowledge and experience in electrical installations, MCC layouts and electrical equipment.
• Technical designs and analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in the electrical and instrumentation field and general fault-finding procedures.
• Experience in drawing program like AutoCAD would be a benefit.
• Working experience in project management roles would be a benefit.

Purpose of the role:

• Be able to communicate with clients to understand their problems.
• Be able to provide technical support to clients, do troubleshooting and fault finding on equipment.
• Be able to read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit diagrams.
• Be able to repair, install, replace and service equipment we supplied.
• Be able to work with 3 phase electrical power equipment.
• Be able to communicate and provide training to the client’s personal on the supplied equipment.
• Be able to commission and setup the supplied equipment.
• Be able and available to travel locally and abroad as required for work on occasions.
• Be able to program and interface with various PLC, HMI and other control systems as required.
• Network setup and configuration is a requirement.
• Compile and manage the required day to day documentation and planning.

Hours of Work
The company’s working hours are from 8h00 – 16h30 Mondays to Thursdays and 8h00 – 15h00 on Fridays. Due to your position, you might be required to work overtime and would be paid in accordance.
