About the position

MINIMUM VEREISTES / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Academic
-Grade 12.- Relevant degree such as Bachelor's and Associate Degree in Management, Leadership and Management Business/Administration, Master of Business Administration (MBA), BCOM Accountancy, Management Development Program (MDP), BNurs - Nursing (A Registered Nurse).
- Financial management expertise and experience, and knowledge of accounting.
- Computer proficient with software knowledge and skills with regards to Microsoft Office and its programmes.
- Knowledge of elderly and disabled care.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and documentation, in particular the Older Persons Act 13/2006 Act and the NPO Act 71/1997
- Prepared for further relevant studies and/or job training, if required
Experience
- 4years' experience in eldercare and in using leadership skills in this occupation.
- 5years' management experience and management skills: Execution of management functions: Planning, Organizing Guidance and Control.
- Multi-Site Management experience
- Financial management.
- Personnel management.
- General management and administration of office, equipment, property.
- Management of beneficiaries.

Purpose of Position
SAVF National Executive Board has decided to optimise the Management Structure of all its business interests in the Greater Potchefstroom area in the North West Province. This position will encompass the management of all SAVF's facilities such as old age homes, "Rights of Occupation" - and housing schemes, and commercial accommodation. The manager will work closely with the SAVF Potchefstroom Service Management, SAVF North West Regional Manager, and SAVF Executive Committee, with full accountability and responsibility, in accordance with SAVF policy, applicable prescriptions, requirements and legislation, in order to ensure comprehensive care of residents and services to the elderly in the community. These include, but are not limited to, the detailed activities below.
Work Time Regulations
- Normal office hours are Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:30
-Due to the nature of the position the employee may be called upon during these normal specified times or outside of these hours if required
Summarised Requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Time and project management skills. Ability to analyse processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
