About the position
- Honours Degree in Economics (BCom Honours in Economics) is required.
- Master's degree in Economics or closely related field is advantageous
- Relevant teaching (lecturing / tutoring) experience at tertiary level, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to teach core economics modules (microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, development economics, business economics etc.).
- Proven competency in assessment design and delivery.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of economic theory and its application.
- Proficiency in quantitative methods / econometrics / statistical tools is an advantage.
- Ability to use technology in teaching (e.g. LMS systems such as Moodle, PowerPoint, possibly online/blended teaching).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and foster inclusivity.
