(EC&I) Engineer

About the position

Our clients are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join its KwaZulu-Natal team on an upcoming Project.
Location: KwaZulu-Natal

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or SAQA-recognised equivalent).
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) with ECSA.
• MEng or MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Installation Electrician or Master Electrician with the Department of Employment and Labour.
• Certification or specialised training in Power Transformer Design, Installation and Maintenance.
• Certification or training in SANS 10313 and/or IEC 62305.
• Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training in Industrial Control Systems.
• CompEx (Ex01–Ex06) Certification or IECEx Certificate of Personnel Competency (CoPC).
• GPR or ArcGIS training (advantageous).

Experience:

• 10 years or more relevant experience will be highly advantageous.
• infrastructure projects.
• Experience with infrastructure upgrades, replacement and refurbishment projects.
• Demonstrated experience in hazardous-area electrical design.
• Experience with:

                       1.  Fuel depots and similar industrial facilities (advantageous)
                       2. MV/LV electrical systems
                       3. Earthing and lightning protection systems
                       4. Electrical distribution panels
                       5. Industrial control systems
                       6. Electrical infrastructure projects

Remuneration:

An attractive market-related salary package will be negotiated based on qualifications, ECSA registration, relevant certifications, and experience.
