About the position
This role will support the company’s global Early Careers Recruitment team based in the UK. It will lead early careers hiring in South Africa and may also assist with hiring in other countries as needed. This is a 6-month contract. The position involves coordinating candidate assessments, managing communications, and ensuring data accuracy. Key tasks include administering online tests and video interviews, organising assessment centres, collaborating with hiring managers, collaborating with external recruitment partners, and making hiring decisions. Additionally, the role entails extending job offers and onboarding new candidates hires.
Responsibilities:
- Online Skills Assessments: Coordinating and administering online skills tests to evaluate candidates' technical and professional abilities.
- Online Video Interviews: Coordinating and reviewing online video interviews to assess candidates’ performance against pre-set scoring criteria to evaluate candidates' fit for the role and company culture.
- Assessment Centres: Planning and managing on-site and virtual assessment centres, including group exercises, presentations, and interviews.
- Candidate Communication: Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to keep them informed and engaged. Support candidates with planning their travel to assessment centres and coordinate the repayment of travel expenses.
- Data Management: Accurately recording candidate information, assessment results, and interview feedback in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Working closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide updates on the hiring process.
- Decision Making: Evaluating all assessment data and interview feedback to make informed hiring decisions.
- Offer Management: Working with our TA Advisory team to extend job offers to selected candidates and negotiate terms as needed.
- Onboarding Coordination: Assisting with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Requirements:
- Talent Acquisition experience in a multi-national company
- Excellent knowledge of the recruitment market and recruitment practices in South Africa
- Collaboration with Talent Acquisition teams across multiple countries.
- Proficiency in working with teams in a matrixed environment and managing senior stakeholders.
- Skilled in data-driven decision-making, recruitment metrics, and promoting diversity and inclusion in hiring.
- Expertise in Early Career talent hiring and development, including university relations and high-volume selection - Preferred
- Strong industry connections and knowledge of best practices in Early Career recruitment - Preferred
