Dynamics 365 – Software Quality Engineer

About the position

Knowledge & Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Dynamics 365 testing strategy


• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing


• Validate solutions against business requirements and ensure full test coverage across configurations, customisations, workflows, and integrations


• Manage defects through to resolution and provide go/no-go release input


• Ensure releases meet quality, compliance, and performance standards

 



Dynamics 365 Expertise

• Strong understanding of D365 entities, forms, views, business rules, and security models


• Test both configurations and custom developments, including plugins, JavaScript, web resources, and Power Automate flows


• Validate data integrity, automated regression testing, and end-to-end business processes across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD environments

 



Test Design & Quality

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and requirement-based scenarios


• Ensure traceability, regression coverage, and support root cause analysis


• Execute manual and Playwright automated testing while promoting a quality-first mindset

 



Ways of Working

• Work within Agile/Kanban teams and participate in sprint ceremonies


• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders to support successful UAT delivery

 



Environment & Release Management

• Conduct testing across multiple environments and support controlled deployments and release readiness


• Maintain audit-ready testing evidence and support governance processes

 



Work Location

• Gauteng-based candidates: Office attendance required Monday & Friday, plus Wednesday (flexible)


• Outside Gauteng/South Africa: Fully remote considered

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications

• Essential: Advanced Diploma / National Degree


• Preferred: BSc IT or BCom IT


• Preferred Certifications: ISTQB Agile/Advanced, Agile & DevOps training

 



 



Skills & Qualifications

• 3–6 years’ experience as an SQE/Test Analyst on Dynamics 365 or CRM platforms


• Strong test analysis, test design, and Playwright automation skills


• Experience in regulated environments with strong attention to detail and quality standards
