About the position

Postion Summary:
iThemba LABS seeks to appoint a Driver in the Finance & Supply Chain department within the logistics section, for all site driving duties related to transportation of staff, students, visitors, as well as goods transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transporting staff; post-graduates and visitors
• Airport collections/drop offs
• Handling, transportation and delivery of Isotopes daily to various sites
• Daily goods deliveries (collections& drop offs)
• Daily errands such as post collection and distribution, banking duties etc
• Daily checks for vehicle maintenance/appearance

Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 10 / National Certificate / Vocational 2 / N1 / NQF 2

Minimum Experience:

• 2-2 years

• Grade 10Valid Driver’s License: Code 08 & Code 10 with PDP

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ driving experience which must include people and goods

Knowledge:

• Transporting staff and stakeholders to and from various destinationsAirport collections/drop offsTransportation/Handling and delivery of Isotopes daily to various sitesDaily goods deliveries (Collections& Drop Offs)Daily Errands Post collection and distributionBanking dutiesDaily checks for vehicle maintenance/appearanceAssist with formulating the daily work schedulesAssist by ensuring vehicles are maintained and licenses renewed
