About the position

Role Overview:
We're seeking a Draughtsman with a keen eye for detail and a passion for mechanical systems. You'll support the design team by producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks, contributing to the development of armoured vehicles from concept to final assembly.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing BOMs and technical documentation for production
• Produce high-quality 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks
• Interpret complex design briefs and collaborate with engineers to refine concepts
• Apply GD&T and ensure drawings meet manufacturing and safety standards
• Maintain drawing control, revisions, and documentation integrity
• Support reverse engineering and prototyping efforts
• Liaise with fabrication and assembly teams to resolve design queries

Qualifications and experience:

• Draughting Certificate or Diploma (Mechanical focus)
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably in vehicle or heavy equipment design
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks; experience with PDM systems is a plus
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and tolerancing
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
