About the position

A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician / Civil Draughtsman to join its growing design team in Cape Town. This permanent opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about civil infrastructure projects and enjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will support engineers and technologists across the full project lifecycle, from design and documentation through to construction monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineers and Technologists with the following tasks:
• Draughting/Preparation of civil engineering drawings
• Assist with the preparation of Bills of Quantities
• Prepare as-built drawings and close-out reports

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (Non-negotiable) or
• Relevant Draughtman Qualification (Non-negotiable)
• Competent with Civil Designer and AutoCAD
• Good communication and people skills
• Honest, loyal, responsible & self-motivated
• Detail orientated
• Capacity to work under pressure
• Self-motivates
• Team-player
• Organised
