Draughtsman/Industrial Designer - Edenvale

Based in Edenvale, you'll play a crucial role in translating concepts and designs into precise technical drawings, supporting our diverse range of projects from innovative signage to detailed product specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

? Create accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
? Collaborate closely with design and production teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
? Interpret sketches, specifications, and other data to produce comprehensive and precise drawings.
? Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and project guidelines.
? Manage and organize drawing files, ensuring proper version control and documentation.
? Review and revise drawings based on feedback and project changes, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
? Contribute to problem-solving and finding practical drafting solutions for design challenges.

Requirements:

? Relevant qualification in Draughting, such as a Diploma in Architectural Technology,
National Certificate in Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice (MDDOP), or a specialized certificate/diploma in a relevant drafting field (e.g., Architectural Draughting, Mechanical Draughting).
? Proven proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor - specific software knowledge will be an advantage).
? Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop) is a significant advantage.
? Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing.
? Strong spatial and three-dimensional perception with the ability to visualize and translate concepts into precise drawings.
? Excellent computer literacy and general technical aptitude.
? Good communication skills to interpret instructions and convey technical information clearly.
? Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
? Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
? Prior practical experience in a drawing office or relevant in-service training will be highly regarded.
? Familiarity with South African drafting standards and any applicable professional registration (e.g., SACAP for architectural draughtspersons) will be an advantage.

Salary Package: R8,000 - R10,000 per month
