About the position
Our client, a specialist EPCM and Project Management company, is currently seeking to hire a Document Controller/ Project Administrator to join their team based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent
- Further training in document control, administration or information management
- 5 - 10 years' experience in document control or administrative roles within the EPCM sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control software
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Well-presented and well-spoken
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Organise and maintain electronic and hard copy documents (contracts, drawings, reports, correspondence)
- Implement document numbering and identification systems for easy retrieval and tracking
- Process document submissions and conduct quality checks for compliance
- Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders and project teams
- Maintain document registers and tracking databases
- Archive and retrieve documents according to retention policies
- Assist with document audits and compliance reviews
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive documents
- Liaise with various teams to facilitate smooth document flow
