About the position
A global leader in the high end refrigeration industry is looking for a "Divisional Manager" to join their team in JHB East Rand. Individuals who apply must have a strong understanding of the white goods market.
The Divisional Manager is accountable for the overall leadership, strategic direction, profitability, growth and governance of the appliances Division at the company ensuring that all sales, service, operational and support functions are effectively managed, either directly or through delegated leadership, in alignment with the strategic objectives and interests of the company.
Performance / Key Accountability
Leads, oversees and supports the division.
Drives, develops and maintains high-level relationships with customers, dealers and affiliates and follows through to ensure satisfactory customer service.
Liaises with business partners and sub-contractors to deliver cost-effective, service-orientated solutions which comply with company standards.
Develops and enforces business plans, budgets, investment plans and targets in consultation with SOG requirements and guidelines
Ensures divisional compliance with company policies, guidelines, and directives. Enforces compliances with legislative, regulatory and authority requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Models, implements and drives the core values of the Group.
Assumes full responsibility for, and provides overall strategic leadership, direction and accountability of the division across all business functions, including sales, customer service, after-sales support, marketing and business development.
Develops and executes the divisional strategy aligned with the company and the SOG objectives in order to drive sustainable profitability and market share growth.
Together with the SOG makes decisions, implements and assumes overall responsibility for accurate forecasting, product mix and profitability and submits periodical reports to the management.
Develops, strengthens, supports and manages strategic relationships with dealers and/or affiliates in Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique.
Drives market growth and profitability by expanding the customer base, developing strategic dealer and customer relationships, strengthening market presence, and identifying new business opportunities across the territory.
Takes responsibility for and ensures effective corporate governance by maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory and policies, managing risk, upholding ethical business practices, and fostering a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace.
Drives collaboration and strategic alignment with other divisions, branches and regional operations to maximise customer opportunities, operational efficiencies and overall business performance.
Represents the company and the division in engagements with industry bodies, business associations, regulators, key customers, suppliers and other external stakeholders to strengthen market position, reputation and strategic influence.
Represents the division in inter-divisional forums, contributing to company-wide strategy, decision-making and organisational development.
Provides leadership for and takes accountability of talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, succession planning and the cultivation of a high-performing, empowered and customer-focused workforce.
Champions innovation, digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, employee engagement and long-term business performance.
Requirements
Matric and tertiary qualification in Management, marketing or sales-related qualification
Experience at senior level in a multinational company and / or senior experience in a similar industry
