About the position
Lead a high-volume distribution operation for one of South Africa's most established and forward-thinking horticultural businesses. Is this you? You're a hands-on operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to bring structure, accountability and momentum to a busy distribution centre. You're organised, commercially aware and calm under pressure, with the leadership skills to motivate teams, solve problems quickly and keep service levels high. What you'll be doing You'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the distribution centre, overseeing logistics, stock control, dispatch quality, staffing, training and productivity. You'll work closely with logistics partners, manage stock takes, improve inventory accuracy, support product availability planning and drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and reporting. You'll also oversee distribution agents, help embed better operational discipline and support digitisation and workflow improvements to keep the operation running efficiently and reliably. Where you'll be doing it Our client is a long-established player in the agricultural sector operating near Krugersdorp. They are widely recognised for quality, innovation and sustainability. The business has also received international industry recognition for excellence. This role is an on site role. What you'll need You'll need a degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field, plus at least 5 years' experience in distribution, logistics or operations management in a high-volume environment. Strong people leadership, inventory and supply chain knowledge, analytical ability, Excel and systems skills are essential. Experience in horticulture, agriculture, FMCG or a related sector will be advantageous. A reliable vehicle and willingness to travel are required.
