About the position
A leading FMCG manufacturing company is looking for an experienced and dynamic Distribution Centre General Manager to take overall responsibility for a high-volume Distribution Centre
This is a key leadership role for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and has the ability to drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, service delivery and people performance. You will play a critical role in ensuring the Distribution Centre operates efficiently while delivering high service levels and supporting the wider business strategy
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage end-to-end Distribution Centre operations
- Drive productivity, capacity utilisation, inventory accuracy, OTIF and service levels
- Manage operating budgets, costs, labour productivity and performance
- Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing management team
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, Quality, Health & Safety and audit requirements
- Drive stock integrity, loss prevention, waste reduction and operational efficiency
- Champion continuous improvement, WMS optimisation, technology and automation initiatives
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business or related field
- 5-7 years' relevant experience, including 3-5 years in senior management
- Proven experience managing large-scale, high-volume Distribution Centre or warehouse operations
- Strong operational, commercial and people leadership capability
- FMCG, food manufacturing, retail or QSR experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of inventory, logistics, WMS and continuous improvement
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
