We are seeking a __ to join our team.


As a __
you'll be responsible for resolving complex technical issues and ensuring that our customers are always satisfied.


 

What you’ll do:



  • Solution design management – lead the team of solution architects, and be one of them, to formulate system solutions for potential opportunities including proposal preparation and technical pre-sales.

  • Technical proposals would involve high-level application and system architectural design implementation recommendations, with the selection of appropriate vendor products and estimation of system integration resources, to support the overall bidding strategies and submission.

  • Technical pre-sales will include technical consultancy, demo and/or proof-of-concepts to potential customers or partners to facilitate sales activities.

  • Projects delivery – lead the team of technical managers, and be one of them, to work with the project managers and customers to conduct functional design, application system architecture, solution development and infrastructure deployment for global projects. The team will provide post-implementation services functioning as the 2nd or 3rd level supports of the deployed solutions.

  • System product development – liaise with product marketing team in defining eDocument issuance systems’ product roadmap (Data capture, Key Management to Personalization) and lead the system product development team to build/enhance the specified products in-accordance to the roadmap.


Your expertise:



  • 15 years’ experience with at least 5 years in team leading roles in enterprise application design deployment. Less experience will also be considered in secondary level.

  • Experience in software products design, development and management is highly preferred

  • Experience in information security using electronic documents, cryptography and PKI is highly preferred

  • Proficient in Application/Systems Architecture design and implementation in various systems hosting environments (on-premises / clouds)

  • Knowledge in application development using on-premises/cloud base deployment, Openware Software, RESTful API, Kubernetes development on various operating platforms

  • Knowledge in Flutter, Java programming, J2EE, C++/C#, .NET, TypeScript, NodeJS and database (PostgreSQL, MS-SQL / Oracle / MySQL)

  • Knowledge in infrastructure (servers, network, storage) security sizing on various operating platforms

  • Knowledge in information security like smartcards, PKI and cryptography are preferred

  • Experience in secured issuance of electronic documents like national ID, driving license and passport is highly preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.


Qualifications required:



  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines

  • Strong analysis, synthesis and organizational skills

  • Proactive problem-solving oriented

  • Proficient people project management skills

  • Team player, ability to work with other departments, and build relationships with them, strong communication skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language (and a second additional language preferably) verbally and in writing.

  • Proficient in communication and presentation to senior management

  • Location: Pretoria - Onsite

  • Travel: Travel and fieldwork including extensive international travel will be required, therefore employee must possess or can acquire valid travel authorization throughout the region. Must be willing to spend a percentage of time travelling internationally.
