About the position
Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Digital Performance Marketing Specialist to join a dynamic Marketing team. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimising digital campaigns across paid media, lifecycle marketing touchpoints, and social media platforms.
The successful candidate will drive performance-led initiatives, build multi-step customer journeys, and collaborate cross-functionally to maximise ROI, customer retention, and brand visibility across multiple regions including South Africa, the UK, Benelux, Germany, and Australia.
This role requires a balance between strategic thinking and hands-on campaign execution, working closely with Product Marketing, Content, Design, and Regional Marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Paid Media Campaign Planning & Funnel Execution
- Develop, implement, and manage paid media campaigns across platforms including Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and programmatic networks.
- Build and optimise full-funnel marketing journeys from awareness and lead generation through to conversion, retention, and loyalty.
- Execute targeted upsell and cross-sell campaigns for product extensions and value-added solutions.
- Continuously monitor campaign performance and optimise budgets, targeting, creative, and bidding strategies to improve return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Performance Analytics & Optimisation
- Track, analyse, and report on key performance metrics including CPL, ROAS, CAC, CVR, and LTV.
- Build and maintain performance dashboards using tools such as GA4, Looker Studio, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing across ads, landing pages, calls-to-action, and nurture email campaigns.
- Deliver detailed monthly performance reports with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Translate campaign data into meaningful business insights to inform future marketing strategy.
- Lifecycle & CRM Marketing
- Manage and optimise lifecycle marketing touchpoints including email automation, lead nurturing, remarketing, and retention campaigns.
- Collaborate with CRM and Marketing Automation teams to ensure seamless integration of digital campaigns into customer journeys.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving customer retention, engagement, and lifetime value.
- Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration
- Partner with Content, Product Marketing, and Regional Marketing Leads to localise and adapt campaigns for South Africa, the UK, Germany, Benelux, and Australia.
- Extract and align messaging, value propositions, and creative assets from internal stakeholders to ensure consistent brand positioning across digital channels.
- Support the alignment of digital performance marketing initiatives with the broader brand and marketing strategy.
- Coordinate with design and development teams to optimise landing pages and digital assets for performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
Experience Required
- 3-5 years' proven experience in performance or digital marketing with hands-on campaign execution.
- Demonstrated experience managing paid media campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Experience working with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Exposure to multi-region or international marketing environments is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Strong command of Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and programmatic advertising platforms.
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as GA4 and Looker Studio.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.
- Solid understanding of funnel optimisation, attribution modelling, and conversion tracking.
