About the position
The main purpose of the Digital Content and Marketing Specialist position (based 100% in the office in Prospecton, Durban) is to drive brand visibility, engagement, and lead generation through high-quality digital content and performance-driven campaigns.
The role combines creative content development (copywriting, photography, videography, editing) with technical marketing skills (campaign management, analytics, SEO).
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, working closely with the Graphic Designer, and supporting and guiding the Junior Digital Marketer.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow digital platforms (social media, website)
- Create and execute engaging content
- Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns (Google, social media)
- Set up and optimise paid media campaigns, including retargeting
- Implement SEO best practices
- Manage tracking and analytics (Google Tag Manager, GA4)
- Monitor and report on campaign performance
- Collaborate with the Graphic Designer and support the Junior Digital Marketer
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Required certifications: Google Ads Search & Display, Google Analytics (GA4), Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate or Media Buying Professional
- 3-5 years in digital marketing, with a focus on content creation and campaign execution
- Experience with social media management, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, SEO, website content management (e.g., WordPress), and analytics tools
- Ability to independently create content (photography, videography, editing)
- Creative and conceptual thinking, analytical mindset, project management, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, and a proactive approach
- Experience in automotive, technical, or product-based industries would be advantageous
- Basic design skills and experience in small, fast-paced teams
