About the position
We are looking for a talented Digital Marketer and Events Officer to develop and manage online marketing strategies while planning and executing seminars and workshops across the country. The ideal candidate is creative, organised, and able to deliver engaging campaigns and events that strengthen our brand and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshops and Seminar Planning
- Plan and execute seminars nationally, managing venues, catering, logistics, registration, and event budgets
- Liaise with speakers, collect bios and presentations, and prepare running orders and final programmes
- Design attendee name tags and manage registrations via GlueUp or manual lists
- Develop creative advertising ideas to boost seminar participation
- Coordinate social media coverage for events
Marketing and Social Media
- Create and schedule event adverts, email campaigns, and promotional graphics
- Develop engaging digital content for websites, social media, and email campaigns
- Manage email campaigns, newsletters, and bulk communications
- Support marketing campaigns and provide input to monthly social media content plans
- Monitor and respond to social media interactions
Website and Blog Content Management
- Update and manage website content related to events and organisational news
- Coordinate quarterly blog and emailer distribution
- Assist with content gathering, editing, and SEO optimisation to improve website performance
Innovation and Organisational Development
- Propose and implement tools, services, or practices to enhance stakeholder engagement
- Attend training sessions and contribute to organisational learning
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Digital Marketing, Event Management, or Business Administration
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Canva, MailChimp, GlueUp, WordPress, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and content marketing
- Strong social media management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Own transport is essential
