About the position
A well-established and fast-growing convenience retail brand is seeking a creative, driven, and proactive Digital Marketing Assistant to join their dynamic team in Brackenfell, Cape Town. Reporting directly to the Digital Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting national and regional marketing campaigns, managing digital content, engaging with franchisees, and helping grow the brand across multiple digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
Campaign Support & Execution:
- Assist with the planning, rollout, and monitoring of national and regional marketing campaigns.
- Support promotional initiatives and ensure campaigns are aligned across digital platforms and stores.
- Assist with campaign reporting and performance tracking.
Social Media Management:
- Support content creation and scheduling across digital platforms.
- Manage store-specific content across brand pages and social media channels.
- Monitor social media engagement and assist with maintaining brand consistency online.
Website & Content Management:
- Maintain and update the company website and online catalogue.
- Ensure website content aligns with current campaigns, promotions, and brand standards.
- Assist with basic SEO and digital optimisation initiatives.
Franchise & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees and regional managers.
- Support local store marketing initiatives and regional campaigns.
- Assist stores with digital content and promotional support where required.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor, measure, and report on campaign effectiveness, engagement, and digital performance.
- Assist with analysing campaign data and identifying improvement opportunities.
Creative Coordination:
- Work closely with design agencies to brief, review, and approve creatives and promotional artwork.
- Ensure all marketing materials align with brand identity and campaign objectives.
Google & Facebook Location Pages:
- Assist in managing Google Business and Facebook location pages.
- Ensure store information remains accurate, updated, and engaging for customers.
Requirements:
- Marketing Degree or Diploma (NQF 7).
- 2-3 years' experience in a marketing role or marketing internship environment.
- Own reliable transport is essential, as store visits will be required.
- Mileage for business-related travel will be reimbursed.
