Digital DTP Operator

About the position

A dynamic organization based in the Northern Suburbs is looking to employ a Digital DTP Operator / Press Operator with 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Valid Driver’s License
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• MS Office & Desktop Publishing Software
• Responsible for preparing digital files for print production
• Overseeing the pre-press process to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output
• Convert and optimize artwork, graphics, and text for digital printing
• Adjust layouts and graphics as needed to ensure compatibility with digital print processes
• Use color profiles to ensure accurate color reproduction across digital printing devices
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the DTP process
• Proficiently use Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other desktop publishing tools
• Provide feedback and suggestions to clients on file quality and formatting for print
• Maintain and organize files, templates, and print-ready documents for easy retrieval
• Knowledge of layout and design principles, typography, and color theory
• Ability to troubleshoot file-related issues and find creative solutions to challenges that arise during the production process
