Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - Mining Industry
Location: Gauteng
Overview:
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team in the mining industry. The ideal candidate will have experience working on heavy-duty equipment, specifically in the mining sector. The role will involve diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and associated equipment to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems on heavy-duty equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance on all mining vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make recommendations for repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Perform engine overhauls and rebuilds as necessary
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, post trade
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to mining operations
- Must have own tools and reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
