About the position
Our client based in Verulam is looking for a qualified Diesel mechanic.
Duties & Responsibilities
Preventative maintenance management and scheduling
Perform routine inspections
Manage afterhours breakdowns .
Service fuel, cooling, exhaust, braking, air, and transmission systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems, sensors, and engine control modules (ECMs)..
Ensure repairs meet safety and performance standards.
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
Explain repairs and maintenance needs to supervisors.
Estimate repair time and parts requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Min 5 – 8 years of previous experience in the industry.
Must have reliable transport to and from Canelands (Verulam)
Diesel Mechanic - Trade test
Diesel mechanic experience in (diagnostics, engines, tools, maintenance).
Valid driver’s license
Required to work shifts, overtime, standby and be available for callouts should the need arise, this includes working nights shifts when required and also weekends (including Sundays).
Note that should you not be qaulified your application will be automaticly rejected.
