Diesel Mechanic

About the position

Our client, an established road transport/logistics company located in Paarl, has an opportunity for a Junior Diesel Mechanic to join their team.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Requirements:

• Completed qualification / training as a Diesel Mechanic
• Relevant experience in a similar position
• Own reliable transport required
• Code 14 (EC) license with PDP
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as per operational requirements

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will report to the Workshop Manager
• Maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers, and farm implements
• Maintenance planning in collaboration with the Workshop Manager
• Assistance service and emergency repairs
• Compliance with occupation health and safety legislation
• Administrative tasks such as completing worksheets and timesheets
• Record keeping of maintenance and planning
• Any other tasks related to the position
