Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Northern Cape, South Africa

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent


Hire Resolve's Client are looking for a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their mining operations in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel equipment used in our mining operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and drilling rigs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure that all equipment is in proper working order
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs completed
• Work closely with other members of the maintenance and operations team

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic in a mining environment
• Trade certification or equivalent qualification in diesel mechanics
• Strong technical and mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work in a remote mining location
• Experience working with Caterpillar, Komatsu, or other heavy-duty mining equipment
• Knowledge of mining safety regulations and practices
