You're comfortable working in demanding environments such as engine rooms and onboard vessels, and you maintain a strong focus on safety and quality at all times. Reliable, organised, and practical, you work well both independently and as part of a technical team supporting marine operations.
You'll install, service, maintain, and repair marine diesel engines and associated propulsion systems across a variety of vessels. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing mechanical faults on engines, generators, and auxiliary equipment, as well as carrying out engine overhauls involving injectors, pumps, turbochargers, and cooling systems. You'll inspect and maintain fuel, lubrication, exhaust, and cooling systems while ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed in line with manufacturer and maritime standards. The role also involves supporting dry-dock activities, surveys, and inspections, performing emergency repairs when required, and maintaining accurate service reports and maintenance records while working closely with engineers, skippers, and shore-based teams.
You'll join a respected marine engineering business with a strong presence in the commercial and leisure maritime sectors. Known for delivering reliable engineering support and technical expertise, the company has built a solid reputation for quality workmanship and customer service. The environment is collaborative and technically focused, offering the opportunity to work with experienced professionals and develop your skills within a specialised marine industry.
You'll be a qualified Diesel Fitter (Red Seal or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience working on marine diesel engines. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a stable, growing company in the marine industry. You'll gain valuable experience in the sector while contributing to the success of the business. You'll enjoy a stable role within a respected company offering a competitive basic salary, company vehicle, full medical aid for you and your family, pension fund and an incentive bonus.
