About the position
We’re looking for a hands-on Diesel & Petrol Mechanic who knows their way around engines, not just in theory, but in the dust, the heat, and the real world where things actually break. This role requires someone who is neat, tidy and always ready when needed. Own tools are essential.
This role is based in Williston, a small but steadily growing town where living costs are exceptionally low!!
The position pays a basic salary + commission.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping a mixed fleet of bakkies, tractors, trailers, and farm machinery running like they should
- Diagnosing faults properly (no guesswork, no shortcuts)
- Handling breakdowns quickly and efficiently to keep operations moving
- Performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Managing your tools, your workspace, and your standards
- Reporting on repairs, parts used, and bigger issues before they become disasters
- Working both in the workshop and out in the field when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Diesel & Petrol Mechanic (non-negotiable)
- Strong knowledge of both diesel and petrol engines
- Experience with agricultural equipment—tractors, trailers, the works
- Someone who can work independently without needing babysitting
- Own tools
- Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB minimum)
A trade qualification is great—but real, solid experience will speak louder.
