About the position

We're looking for a Female DevSecOps Manager. This senior role leads the design, automation, and security of cloud-native infrastructure across AWS (and other cloud platforms). You will manage a DevSecOps team, embed "security by design", and ensure secure, scalable, and compliant delivery in a regulated (POPIA/GDPR) environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & DevOps
- Design and manage infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Build and maintain containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Automate deployments and improve reliability
- Support incident response and root cause analysis
Security (DevSecOps)
- Embed security into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning)
- Manage AWS security tools (GuardDuty, Inspector, Security Hub, IAM, KMS)
- Lead vulnerability management and penetration testing
- Implement secure architecture and zero-trust principles
Operations & Monitoring
- Implement observability (CloudWatch, SIEM, alerting tools)
- Improve system uptime, reduce alert noise, and enhance incident response
Leadership & Governance
- Lead and mentor DevOps/SRE/Security teams
- Define KPIs (MTTR, deployment frequency, vulnerability remediation)
- Ensure POPIA/GDPR compliance and audit readiness
Requirements
Experience
- 8-10+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or Cybersecurity
- 3-5+ years in leadership roles
- Strong AWS production experience
- Experience in regulated environments (POPIA/GDPR)
Technical Skills
- AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker
- CI/CD and DevSecOps tooling
- Linux, networking, Git, scripting (Python/Bash)
- Security tools (SIEM, SAST/DAST, GuardDuty)
Certifications (Preferred)
- AWS Security Specialty or AWS DevOps Professional
