About the position

Are you passionate about DevOps practices and Agile methodologies? We're looking for a skilled DevOps Coach to join our team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, promote DevOps principles, and drive continuous improvement in our Agile practices.

What you’ll do:



  • Promote the DevOps culture

    • Responsible for disseminating the DevOps culture within the organization. Help and guide teams to understand the core values of DevOps, such as collaboration, transparency, shared responsibility, and customer centricity.



  • Training and awareness

    • Provide training and awareness to teams on DevOps practices and tools. Focus on strengthening the skills and knowledge of team members to facilitate the adoption of DevOps.



  • Cross functional collaboration

    • Facilitate collaboration between development and operations by encouraging communication, eliminating organizational silos, and promoting collective decision-making.



  • Process improvement

    • Assess the organisations processes to identify areas of improvement. Guide and mentor teams on defining and implementing a continuous delivery pipeline process or process improvements for their continuous deliver pipelines.



  • Assessment and continuous improvement

    • Assess the organisation’s DevOps performance, identify improvement areas, and recommend adjustments and direction to improve.  Use metrics and indicators to evaluation the effectiveness of the DevOps transformation in the context of the organisations environment and the organization's need to transform.




Your Expertise:



  • 4 years in DevOps-focused role, software development, systems engineering, and leadership.

  • Experience in DevOps assessments and recommendations.

  • Experience leading/managing software developers and systems engineers within cultures that look to embrace DevOps philosophies.

  • Experience with various cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), as well as on-prem.

  • Experience with a variety of DevOps tools and technologies, such as Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Istio, Prometheus, GitHub, etc.

  • Experience developing, deploying, releasing, and supporting large-scale systems

  • Experience with software and systems engineering.

  • Experience working together with teams from within an organization to facilitate the execution of strategy and necessary guidance and direction to deliver against organizational strategy.

  • Experience in working with software delivery teams within an organization.


Qualifications Required:



  • A relevant tertiary IT degree/diploma or equivalent
