About the position

A well-established short term insurer is seeking to appoint a Developer Intern for a 24 month contract

At the end of the Internship Programme, the intern will be provided with a hands-on exposure to real-world software development practices while contributing meaningfully to technology enablement across the organisation.
Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • BSc / BTech Degree in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer/Information Technology Or related fields

Minimum Experience:

  • No experience required

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of lowcode/no-code development
  • Understanding of UML or basic architectural concepts Basic UI/UX awareness

Technical Skills:
Basic understanding on the following:

  • One or more programming languages:
  • C#, Python, JavaScript,Java, Angular and React JS or SQL
  • Basic understanding of web technologies:
  • HTML, CSS, REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools; Power Apps, Power Automate, or an advantage.
  • Understanding of atabases (SQL Server, MySQL, or similar)
  • Understanding of Java build tools such as Tomcat, JBoss
  • Artificial Intelligence & other emerging technologies
  • MS Office suite skills
