First & Second Line Support | Hands-On | Ownership-Driven
Are you the person people call when tech stops working?
We’re looking for a Desktop Engineer who doesn’t just log tickets — they own them. Someone who can diagnose, fix and follow through, whether it’s a straightforward user issue or a more complex system problem. If you like solving problems, working with people and taking ownership, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
- Provide first and second line technical support to end users
- Analyse, diagnose and resolve system and application issues
- Respond to requests via phone, email and the service desk
- Log, track and escalate calls through to resolution
- Set up and configure IT equipment to standard
- Manage asset tracking and work with the IT Asset team
- Document processes, procedures and resolutions
- Support software and hardware inventory and licence tracking
- Work after hours, weekends and standby when required
RequirementsWhat we’re looking for
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- A+, N+ and/or MCTS/MCITP (or equivalent)
- 2–3 years IT support experience
- Ability to take ownership and see problems through
- Strong attention to detail and clear decision-making
- Good interpersonal skills and empathy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment
