Depot Superintendent

About the position

My client is based in Queenstown and the role will entail some travelling between there and East London.  They are looking for a Depot Superintendent who will manage the depot procedures
and monitor transporters, admin processes and controls as well as ensuring compliance with all safety legislation.   South African citizens only.
Requirements:

• Diploma or degree related to SC network or warehousing and distribution
• 5 years experience in related industry with people management experience
• Proficiency in SAP modules
• Good knowledge of depot operational standards, transport loading rules and depot capacities
• Good knowledge of stock management and storage thereof
• Good knowledge of SHEQ and risk management
• Good people skills
• Be prepared to travel between East London and Queenstown on a regular basis

Responsibilities

• Manage depot procedures to ensure product and handling of bulk product is of a high standard
• Monitoring transporters
• Leading and managing people to achieve performance objectives
• Ensuring compliance with all safety legislation
