About the position
The Delivery Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of strategic Data & Analytics initiatives within the Data & Analytics portfolio. This role ensures delivery execution is aligned to business priorities, architectural principles, regulatory obligations, and governance frameworks while maintaining delivery excellence across timelines, scope, budget, and quality standards.
The successful incumbent will drive coordination across cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Analytics, Governance, and Platform teams to deliver scalable and compliant data solutions that enable business value.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership
- Own and manage end-to-end delivery plans across multiple Data & Analytics initiatives.
- Define, monitor, and control delivery scope, milestones, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure successful execution of strategic data programmes and business-critical initiatives.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Governance, and Data Platform resources.
- Align delivery teams with business stakeholders, technology teams, and senior leadership.
- Manage expectations and maintain stakeholder engagement throughout delivery lifecycles.
Risk, Dependency & Governance Management
- Track delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring proactive mitigation and escalation.
- Manage interdependencies across Digital & Technology and broader banking initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Delivery Governance & Reporting
- Facilitate delivery ceremonies, governance forums, and stakeholder updates.
- Produce executive-level reporting on delivery status, risks, and performance.
- Maintain documentation, audit trails, and control frameworks for all delivered outcomes.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, methodologies, tooling, and operational efficiency.
- Support Agile maturity and delivery optimisation initiatives.
- Coach and support matrix and virtual teams to improve delivery capability.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Information Systems, or related field.
- Relevant Agile or Delivery Management certifications (advantageous):
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
- PRINCE2
- PMP
- ICAgile Agile Project & Delivery Management (ICP-APM)
Experience Required
- 7–10+ years’ experience in Delivery Management, Project Management, or Programme Delivery within Technology and/or Data & Analytics environments.
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stream enterprise delivery programmes.
- Experience delivering data platforms, analytics products, and governance initiatives.
- Strong experience in regulated financial services or banking environments.
- Experience delivering in Agile, Hybrid, or Scaled Agile environments.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
