About the position
Our client, a fast-growing enterprise technology and AI software company, is currently seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to join their team based in Hazelwood, Pretoria.
In this role, you will own the execution of customer implementations from a delivery management perspective. You will be responsible for coordinating the people, plans, priorities, and operating discipline required to deploy the organisation's solutions successfully across multiple customers. This role requires someone who can balance customer-facing confidence with strong internal structure, while understanding both the technical requirements of deployments and the practical realities of delivery execution.
Experience & Capability Requirements:
- Strong delivery or implementation leadership experience in software, SaaS, or technical solutions environments.
- Ability to understand customer technical requirements sufficiently to manage delivery decisions and trade-offs with confidence.
- Experience coordinating multi-role teams that combine project, technical, and customer-facing work.
- Excellent prioritisation and administrative management capability across multiple concurrent customers or projects.
- Comfort engaging directly with customers and representing the business credibly in delivery discussions.
- Demonstrated ability to unblock teams, manage ambiguity, and maintain momentum in complex environments.
- Highly structured approach to planning, follow-up, documentation, and execution governance.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the delivery organisation responsible for implementing, configuring, and deploying customer solutions.
- Manage project managers, technical delivery managers, solution architects, and junior delivery resources to ensure coordinated and visible execution.
- Oversee customer-specific delivery roadmaps and ensure timelines, dependencies, milestones, risks, and actions are actively managed.
- Assign priorities across the delivery team, rebalance workloads where necessary, and remove blockers that slow implementation progress.
- Maintain strong administrative control over delivery plans, customer actions, internal action registers, and overall execution status.
- Engage with customers directly when required to clarify scope, align expectations, resolve issues, or reinforce delivery confidence.
- Ensure delivery decisions reflect both customer requirements and internal capability constraints.
- Work closely with engineering and enterprise architecture stakeholders where delivery plans depend on product capability, infrastructure choices, or technical escalation.
- Create a motivating and accountable team environment in which delivery staff can perform at a high level while remaining structured and customer-aware.
- Continuously improve delivery processes, templates, implementation playbooks, and execution discipline as the business scales.
