Debtors Controller - PROPERTY MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE

About the position

A privately held property enterprise, with a strong presence in the retail space, is seeking a skilled Debtors Controller to join their well-seasoned Finance Team, in the heart of Benoni.

The business is known for identifying high-potential urban and peri-urban locations and transforming them into thriving retail centres. The role offers the chance to be part of a fast-paced, professional environment where attention to detail and tenant relationship management are key.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Full tenant billing cycle - rental, utilities, recoveries, and ad-hoc charges
• Debtors collections and reconciliations on MDA
• Managing lease information and billing accuracy in collaboration with leasing and property managers
• Engaging with tenants regarding statements, disputes, and arrears
• Maintaining up-to-date age analysis and reporting on outstanding accounts
• Ensuring compliance with lease agreements and company credit policies

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar environment
• MDA/MRI/Nicor System
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with strong client service orientation
• Ability to work under pressure and meet monthly deadlines
