About the position

A Well Established Company in Heidelberg seeks a Debtors Clerk.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining and updating customer account records.
• Issuing invoices, statements, and credit notes to customers.
• Monitoring outstanding debts and tracking overdue accounts.
• Following up on unpaid invoices via phone, email, or written correspondence.
• Allocating customer payments to the correct accounts.
• Reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Preparing age analysis reports showing outstanding balances.
• Processing account queries and liaising with customers regarding payments.
• Assisting with credit control procedures and credit applications.
• Maintaining accurate filing and financial records.
• Generating debtor reports for management.
• Working with the sales and finance departments to resolve account issues.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures.

Key Skills Required

• Strong numerical and bookkeeping skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of accounting software (such as Sage Accounting, Pastel Accounting, or QuickBooks).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.
