About the position
To manage and control the full accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate invoicing, effective credit control, and timely collection of outstanding debt while maintaining strong client relationships.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Relevant finance qualification (Certificate, Diploma)
- 2–4 years experience in a Debtors / Accounts Receivable role
- Strong understanding of credit control and debtor management processes
- Experience with reconciliations and ageing analysis
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems (eg. Xero)
Key Performance Areas:
- Manage the full accounts receivable function
- Invoice clients accurately and timeously
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts
- Perform debt collection in a professional and firm manner
- Apply interest on overdue accounts where applicable
- Maintain and enforce credit terms and limits
- Prepare and complete payment reconciliations
- Conduct regular ageing analysis and report on debtor status
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Prepare reports on collections and debtor performance
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support retention
- Engage with customers to resolve account queries efficiently
