About the position

I'm currently recruiting for a Debtors Clerk on behalf of a client who's looking for a reliable, detail-focused professional to take full ownership of their accounts receivable function. ?? Purpose of the Role

You'll be managing the full debtors function, from invoicing and collections to reconciliations and reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid experience in debtors who enjoys being hands-on and taking initiative.

?? Key Responsibilities

• Generate and issue accurate invoices and credit notes.
• Follow up on outstanding payments via phone, email, and customer statements.
• Reconcile customer accounts and allocate receipts timeously.
• Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Keep debtor records and customer account details up to date.
• Prepare debtor age analysis reports and escalate overdue accounts where necessary.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to resolve account queries.
• Support the finance team with month-end reporting.
• Ensure adherence to credit control policies and procedures.
• Handle billing and perform daily bank reconciliations.
• Process invoices and credit notes accurately.

? Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics or Accounting.
• 1-3 years' experience in a similar Debtors or Accounts Receivable role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel, Sage, Xero, or ERP systems).
