JOB DESCRIPTION
The N'dabeni Distribution Hub is seeking dynamic and driven Controllers (Level 2 Manager) to join our high-performance logistics team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing the daily performance of operational teams within your assigned functional area, ensuring optimal flow, accuracy, and output in line with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Managing the output of Supervisors and Clerks across multiple teams.
- Monitor and guide output and workforce planning and scheduling
- Driving teams to meet and exceed daily and weekly performance targets.
- Planning and managing the flow of information and merchandise across and through teams, within available processing space.
- Liaising with line managers and business units regarding order allocations, priorities, and product launches.
- Managing performance, training, development, and industrial relations within your area.
- Ensuring compliance with Group Logistics Best Operating Practice (BOP) standards.
- Identifying and proposing solutions for operational inefficiencies within and between teams.
- Summarising daily activities into weekly reporting, incorporating Key Performance Areas (KPAs).
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric (Grade 12) essential
- Has a post-matric qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics & Warehouse Management / Retail Business Management (Advantageous)
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environment.
- Proven experience managing teams and driving performance through others.
- Strong understanding of DC operations and logistics best practices.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement and team development.
