About the position
Design and implement data-driven solutions that improve equipment performance, support operational decisions, and drive business efficiency through analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence tools.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a releated field.
- 1-3 years' experience in a data science environment, specifically xposure to mining, mineral processing, or supply chain industries.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory), cloud platforms (Azure), and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn).
- Experience with predictive maintenance, time-series forecasting, and statistical analysis.
Key Performance Areas:
- Integrate and consolidate enterprise data into unified, accessible systems.
- Develop analytics and dashboards to support finance, supply chain, and engineering teams.
- Build and deploy machine learning models to predict failures and optimize maintenance.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to answer business questions and support decision-making.
- Communicate insights through data storytelling to both technical and non-technical teams.
- Collaborate across departments including IT, operations, and engineering.
- Contribute to inventory and supply chain analytics initiatives.
