About the position

The Data Operations & Integrity Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the standards, processes, controls, and performance frameworks that support the organisations product information assets.
Working closely with the Business Excellence Manager, the role translates business requirements and improvement opportunities into practical, measurable solutions that improve data quality, productivity, governance, and operational performance.
The role is responsible for maintaining catalogue taxonomies, monitoring data quality and service performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and developing the capability of the Data Operations team.
Success in the role is measured not only by operational performance, but by the ongoing improvement of data quality, catalogue maturity, productivity, governance adoption, and team capability.
The role is responsible for recommending and implementing standards, controls, measures, taxonomies, reporting frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Data Operations function.
The role may challenge, reject, or escalate requests that compromise catalogue integrity, data quality, governance standards, maintainability, or operational efficiency. Significant policy, structural, or strategic changes remain subject to approval by the Business Excellence Manager.
Role Summary:
Responsible for managing product catalogue governance, improving data quality, and driving operational excellence within Data Operations. Focuses on standards, data integrity, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Catalogue Governance & Taxonomy

  • Maintain product data standards, naming conventions, and taxonomy structures
  • Ensure scalability, consistency, and alignment with business needs
  • Review and approve changes to protect data integrity

2. Data Quality & Maturity

  • Develop data quality scorecards and frameworks
  • Monitor and improve catalogue standards (Gold/Silver/Bronze)
  • Identify root causes and drive data quality improvements

3. Demand Quality & Service Performance

  • Track request quality (acceptance, rejection, rework rates)
  • Improve input quality through templates, controls, and stakeholder coaching
  • Reduce inefficiencies caused by poor-quality requests

4. Operational Excellence

  • Build productivity models, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Analyse workload, capacity, and efficiency
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardisation

5. Product Verification & Data Integrity

  • Implement verification frameworks and sampling methods
  • Identify risks, monitor outcomes, and drive corrective actions
  • Ensure ongoing improvement in catalogue accuracy

6. Team Capability Development

  • Coach team on standards, analytics, and continuous improvement
  • Build skills in SQL, reporting, and data management
  • Foster accountability and data ownership culture


Requirements:


Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Data, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 3–5 years in data management, PIM, business analysis, or similar

Core Skills

  • Strong Excel, analytical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Ability to build frameworks, standards, and reporting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and multitasking ability

Technical Skills

  • Essential: Excel, Word, SQL, SharePoint
  • Advantageous: Power BI, Qlik, Syspro, Power Automate, PIM systems
