Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain data management practices aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
- Drive data quality initiatives and ensure adherence to data governance standards.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to develop and enforce data management policies.
- Identify and resolve data issues impacting operational efficiency or regulatory compliance.
- Provide data insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Key Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in data management within financial services.
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality, metadata, and reference data management.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. POPIA, BCBS 239, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data management tools and frameworks.
- Ability to work across business units and influence data practices at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
