About the position
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer Contractor/Consultant to join a high-impact data transition project. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in data migration, transformation, and SQL-based data processing who enjoy working in complex, data-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the migration and transformation of data from legacy and new source systems.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL-based data processes.
- Perform data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy throughout the transition process.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
- Work closely with stakeholders to support project deliverables and timelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Data Engineer Consultant/Contractor (not currently in a permanent role).
- Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Data ingestion
- Data transformation
- Data validation
- SQL process maintenance
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Exposure to data migration, data conversion, or transition projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale data transition initiatives.
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and best practices.
- Ability to work independently in a consulting environment.
