About the position
Our client is looking for an experienced ERP Master Data Controller to take responsibility for the accuracy, integrity and ongoing management of master data across the organisation's ERP and connected business systems.
The role supports data used across procurement, sales, production, inventory, logistics, finance and management reporting. The successful candidate will manage master-data creation and maintenance, identify and resolve data-quality issues, maintain appropriate governance controls and support ERP-related projects and data migrations
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create, maintain and update ERP master-data records in line with approved requests and supporting documentation.
- Validate information against source documentation and ensure required data standards and controls are followed.
- Conduct data-quality audits, cleansing and bulk-data changes.
- Monitor duplicate, incomplete, obsolete and non-compliant data and coordinate corrective action.
- Reconcile master data between ERP systems, source applications, integrations and downstream reporting systems.
- Support data cleansing, migration, harmonisation and system-conversion projects.
- Maintain data-quality issue logs and identify recurring data problems.
- Maintain master-data governance standards, SOPs and complete audit trails.
- Support internal and external audits relating to master data.
- Work with data owners, process owners and operational stakeholders to resolve master-data issues.
- Monitor service levels, turnaround times, backlogs, rework and data-quality trends.
- Support ERP testing, releases, configuration changes, integrations and workflow improvements.
- Assist with UAT, data dictionaries, business rules, validation rules and data-quality controls.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management or a related field. Relevant equivalent experience may also be considered.
- 3-5 years' relevant experience within master data, ERP administration, SQL, operations, procurement/supply-chain administration or a comparable data-control environment.
- 3-5 years' ERP, SQL and master-data experience.
- Practical experience working with ERP master data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Experience in master-data process development and management.
- Strong focus on data accuracy, compliance and attention to detail.
