About the position

Responsibilities:

• As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for defining the data requirements and structure for the application.


• Your day-to-day activities will include modelling and designing the application data structure, storage, and integration.


• You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively.


• You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions.


• Additionally, you are expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.


• Advanced proficiency in Data Architecture Principles is required.


• Design innovative data models that enhance application performance and scalability.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data alignment with business objectives.


• Conduct regular assessments of data architecture to identify areas for improvement.


• Implement best practices for data governance and security across the project.


• Mentor junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

• Data architecture and modelling (conceptual, logical and physical) to ensure data is structure and stored efficiently

• Technical advisory


• Strong data-driven consulting with a focus on business and technology value architecting and realization.


• Ability to work in both waterfall and agile delivery models


• Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on assignments.


• Commercial acumen in terms of aligning and articulating the cost of EA and IT work with its business and IT value, and maintaining the cost vs value balance throughout delivery


• Experience and understanding of core Enterprise Architecture subject matter.


• Experience in Enterprise Architecture advisory and/or implementation.


• Pro-actively acquired business knowledge beyond a technical role


• Ability to craft and deliver compelling narratives to communicate complex ideas and drive engagement


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to the technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Deep mining end to end expertise across value chain (and application stacks)
