About the position
Your:
- Education:
- Relevant degree in Computer Sciences, Information Management or related field.
- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data and/or reporting position, with at least 2 years in the financial services sector.
- Knowledge:
- Knowledge of a commission processing system will be advantageous
- Advanced MS Office suite proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel (Excel skills to include pivots, macros, VLOOKUP, concatenate and data cleanup).
- Understand various financial product categories and the transaction flow between client engagement and commission payment
- Experience in data models and visualisation reporting packages such as Power BI.

- Reporting and Insights:
- Generate detailed and actionable reports on commission and revenue performance.
- Maintain existing and develop new reporting dashboards to present key metrics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare regular operational and advisor revenue reports that will assist the different business units and management (specifically GMS and Advisor Support).
- Data Management and Analysis:
- Extract, validate, and maintain accurate data records for revenue, commission, and advisor/client information.
- Use the Commsplit system to manage and process revenue information efficiently.
- Liaise closely with Head of the Division , finance and GMS to align report requirements to revenue capturing processes and methodology.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in commission data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- System Utilization and Optimisation:
- Leverage the Commsplit system to streamline data management and reporting processes.
- Identify system or process inefficiencies and recommend solutions or enhancements.
- Responsible for report automation.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Assist the Manager in delivering on key performance areas related to commissions and reporting.
- Liaise with financial advisors, product providers, and internal teams to address data-related queries.
- Support the Finance and Group Marketing and Sales Divisions in preparing data for budgeting and strategic planning purposes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly assess and enhance data management processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement within the data management and reporting workflows.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to ensure the organization's processes remain compliant and efficient.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure that reporting aligns with evolving business requirements.
