Data Analyst

About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Analyst for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging data to inform business strategy and operational decision-making. This role requires a strong technical proficiency in SQL and demonstrable experience with complex enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at working with data from multiple sites, managing databases across both cloud-based and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Extraction and Transformation: Utilise advanced SQL skills to query, extract, and transform data from diverse source systems.
- System and Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of data from various ERP systems, with a particular focus on JDE, Syspro, and Oracle, and a foundational understanding of other major ERP platforms such as SAP.
- Reporting and Business Intelligence: Develop and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualisations to translate complex datasets into actionable business intelligence.
- Data Integrity and Governance: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all platforms, actively identifying and resolving data quality issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders at all levels to understand their data requirements and provide data-driven insights that support strategic objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Relevant SQL certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Oracle SQL Certified Professional) would be a distinct advantage.
- Relevant AWS (DBS-C01 or DEA-C01) and/or Microsoft Azure Database Certifications (DP-900, DP-300, DP-203) would be a distinct advantage.
- At least 10 years' experience in a similar data-focused role.
- At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
