About the position
DLK is looking for a Data Analyst / Data Governance & Knowledge Management Consultant to help drive enterprise-level governance and knowledge management initiatives. This is a chance to shape how data is managed, governed, and shared across a complex organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder consultations, and governance workshops.
- Analyse existing data policies, frameworks, and standards — identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
- Establish governance structures: roles, responsibilities, committees, escalation mechanisms.
- Create and maintain data taxonomies, dictionaries, metadata repositories, and asset inventories.
- Define and implement data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
- Develop and roll out a Knowledge Management maturity roadmap, improving capture, organisation, and sharing of institutional knowledge.
- Produce high-quality analysis, reports, and governance artefacts for senior stakeholders.
RequirementsMinimum Requirements:
- NQF Level 6+ qualification in Information/Data Management, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in Data Governance, Data Analysis, Information Management, or Knowledge Management.
- Proven experience developing and implementing Data Governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Hands-on with data dictionaries, taxonomies, metadata, and asset inventories.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Experience working across both business and technical stakeholder groups.
