About the position
My client based in Midrand is currently looking for a Cyber Programme Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of cybersecurity programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear, executable roadmaps and delivery plans.
- Establish and maintain programme governance, delivery standards, reporting and assurance processes.
- Manage consolidated programme roadmaps, including milestones, dependencies, risks and interrelationships across workstreams.
- Provide programme and project management support to strategic initiatives, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines, budgets and agreed outcomes.
- Act as a central point of coordination for programme communications, executive reporting, governance forums and escalations.
- Monitor programme risks, issues and actions, ensuring appropriate mitigation and timely resolution.
- Track and report on programme outcomes, benefits, KPIs and value delivery.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and investment tracking where required.
- Drive continuous improvement through programme management best practices, standardised tools, reporting automation and lessons learned.
- Coordinate collaboration between Cybersecurity, Technology, Digital, IT, Networks and other relevant teams.
- Support the coordination of urgent strategic priorities, including situations requiring cross-functional response and escalation management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to delivery teams, promoting accountability, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-year degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related discipline.
- A Project Management qualification such as PMP or PRINCE2 would be advantageous.
- Alternatively, a Business degree with Project Management would be advantageous.
- Minimum 8 years' experience leading complex programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience delivering outcomes across large, multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environments.
- Experience working across multi-country or geographically dispersed environments would be advantageous.
- Strong experience in programme governance, risk management, dependency management, KPI tracking and benefits realisation.
- Experience reporting to and engaging with senior/executive stakeholders.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk management and technology environments.
