About the position
As a Telesales Consultant you will be responsible for managing a designated customer portfolio through structured monthly engagement. This role demands a results-oriented individual with a strong grasp of relationship management, product knowledge, and solution-oriented selling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage clients via outbound calls, adhering to a monthly contact cycle and regional sales objectives.
- Increase account basket value through cross-selling and product diversification.
- Promote supplier campaigns and seasonal activations with confidence and clarity.
- Accurately process orders and resolve queries, including backorder handling and quote follow-up.
- Maintain detailed customer records and re-engage dormant accounts.
- Support operational functions like credit note coordination and pricing structure adherence.

- Strong sales acumen with a focus on account growth and retention.
- Attention to detail, especially in order processing and client documentation.

Systems & Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the full product catalogue and pricing models (contract pricing, mark-ups, buyouts).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (AXAPTA preferred), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
- Minimum 2-3 years in telesales or internal sales with proven target achievement.
- Experience managing a fixed portfolio of clients is highly advantageous.
